Once the dusty bottle forgotten at the bottom of the cupboard, rye whiskey is now experiencing a revival. Made from rye grains in a style similar to bourbon, rye provides a tang that’s part pepper, part baking spice, and 100% perfect for cool-weather cocktails. From classics like the Manhattan or the sazerac to more modern riffs, there are plenty of ways to tap into that mixable spirit. Need inspiration? Here are our favorite ways to shake things up with rye.
